We booked airfare and hotels for a vacation to Oregon in May of this year. As soon as Mik is finished with Finals for Spring semester 2008, we will be flying to Portland, OR. The picture is of the hotel (Marriott) we will be staying in in Portland. The reason for the trip is twofold. First, to get away from Oklahoma for a short time (5 days); and Second, to check out the cities of the Willamette River Valley (Eugene, Salem, and Portland). Following law school graduation, we would really like to, and plan on, moving from Tulsa to Oregon. The Northwestern U.S. is an area of the country we have always wanted to visit and possibly live. The political climate is either very liberal or very libertarian. Our family has multiple personalities with politics. We both have two polar opposites in our political ideologies. Plus, Oregon has a very diverse, eclectic population that is much more fitting to our family than Oklahoma. Anyway, that is our plan and idea for now.
